Once your baby is strong enough to grip, pull or climb, you'll need to remove the mobile and crib bumper, but until then, the mobile provides hours of entertainment and the bumper is harmless so long as it is thin and well secured. Developmentally, your son won't be capable of a full awareness of his surroundings for several months, while you, on the other hand, will be making multiple trips to and from his room on a daily basis.

Baby bedding that consists of fluffy quilts or squishy pillows do no belong in a crib with an unwatched baby due to safety reasons. Red bedding words well with many nursery themes and can be found in all sorts of kid friendly patterns and designs.
